Fitting Winch to 90 with A/C
Ive got a brand new 9.5Ti winich that was to go on my old 90, but now that has gone i want to put it on the new one.

1st problem is the winch bumper - old (brand new) one is for none ac so that wont go and i know there is now the CE type approval on 07> cars.

Do i get an LR bumper (and possibly get them to fit it - do they have to cut the grill?)

Or do i get another version.

Has anyone got any info on the Genuine LR one? Mike

Hi mse,

If you get a winch bumper designed for A/C verhicles you won;t need to cut the grill. I got mine from here

You can get one from Mantec - who are providers to LR for much of the kit LR sell.

It is a very simple task fitting your own winch, just make sure you fit a cut-out switch inside the defender - mine is installed at the bottom of the passenger seat near by the battery.

Thanks

I did have a cut out switch already set up on my last one - will get the warn version which offers a smaller switch to control a solenoid.

My big concern on bumper was the type approval i was told is now required for 07 vehicles...and land rover bumpers being type approved.

Does anyoone know if they are the full bumper or the central tray insert Mike
