Have just increased our order so hopefully everyone will be satisfied.

Some items we like to assess ourselves before placing orders so that we are happy with product quality (not an issue with Entreq gear

) and to assess if it will be suitable price/market place in the UK.

We regularly get offers of shall we say 'chinese copies' and yes the prices are very tempting, yes we would make more money selling copies then the genuine articles, however quality is sadly lacking and product backup non existent, therefore we are not interested in stocking such items.

Next week should get some new lines in from an existing supplier and also samples from a new foreign supplier.

Received my Entreq flexi aerial today from Leeds and got it fitted in about an hour. No need for taking out the full dash or slicing in with the old cable to avoid the woes of threading through the bulkhead.

My fitting instructions:
1. Cut off old aerial at base.
2.Get access by removing wing blanking plate.
3. Pull out old aerial housing from inside wing and pull out through top of wing port.
4. Cut off from cable.
5. Tape new cable to old. I did ten inches.
6. Remove radio and unplug aerial.
7. Pull cable though bulkhead slowly. Use a gob of Vaseline where the lumpy bit is to ease it though the big rubber grommet.
8. Voila! Untape, plug up and put the new aerial socket together.

I added a thick foam sleeve on the cable where it lies in the engine bay to help with interference.
It sounds much better and there is no sudden interference/shash when the AC goes on.

Well done and thank you for the clear instructions! Not had the opportunity to fit mine yet as I've been down in Falmouth trying to get as much cider, pasties and rum down my 'clackers' as is humanly possible.

Just remember the Vaseline. If the two leads separate bid-bulkhead your in for a world of pain!

Working predominantly with Ex-Navy and Merchant Navy individuals I'm sure there's plenty of vaseline to hand metaphorically speaking.

Replaced mine recently (OEM) without problem. I tried the "taping ends together thing" but they came apart. However, bit of olive oil (well we are in Europe) and pushing and shoving and the end went through the bulkhead seal easily. Torchlight inside the dash and some groping around and the job was done

But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
