Italy 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Zermatt Silver
I'm waiting for Scola shocks standard height because my garage is low and 110 passes barely so.
I'm looking for rear spring a bit more strong, do you know the Rate (lbs./In.) of the original springs? Matteo

Why donīt you try with Gwyn Lewis spring spacer? They are very good and you can choose for 1 or 2".

A word of caution: I`m not sure if you will get issues with your front propshaft going over 1". I lifted 2.5" and I decided to fit a DC propshaft right away. Also for safety reasons. In your case I would fit the spacers and see what happens. Puma 110" SW

I feel sure you will get prop/drive shaft issues. Puma's dont like to be lifted. Try the spacers its a cheap option.

Hi 007,
I am thinking of doing the same thing too.
Can you give us an update of what happened?

Did you end up getting DC propshaft after the 1 inch lift?

THanks
Martin

Hello,
When i got my 2003 110 3years ago, previous owner added a 1" spacer under the front springs.

are 1" lifts considered mild and within safe zones? Not causing complications to steering/suspension/toe in/castor angle interference?

I have been experiencing death wobble recently since summer 2020. Panhard bush changed twice now Sad Could this be linked?

Generally, a 1 inch lift would be considered mild and not require any further mods. Your recent 'death wobble' is more likely to be connected to swivel pre-loads, particularly as the lift has been in place for so long. Darren

35mm was the perceived max lift fit a puma without upsetting prop angles. Engine to t box angles are different in puma to other engine/gbox variants. Cheers

I'm running a 50mm lift using Glyn lewis spacers and original springs and shocks. No propshaft issues.

Josephs 110 is a 2003 model, so pre-Puma. Darren
