 weather, can't do anything outside so back to the workshop it is!  |

I have added a modification to the antiroll bar to prevent it from inverting. Need to give it a good testing but I reckon that it is now fixed!

My issue is that I am running +2" shocks with standard springs. Not an issue in itself and easily fixed with a set of home made Dislocation cones. More of an issue is the fact\that I am running an anti roll bar on the rear (and front) which really help with the handling. However, despite fitting 2" spacer blocks to the ARB mount a situation arises (only on one side!) when on full droop the axle moves so far that the antiroll bar and the axle link align into a straight line. When the axle returns to the level, rather than the link falling back down it has been going upwards, ie. inverting. This places a huge strain on the ARB and the mountings and actually causes the truck to crab as the trailing arm bushes try to take up some of the forces. Not wanting to limit my articulation I wanted a simple solution to simply stop the ARB/link combo from being able to pass the point at which inversion could occur. So basically I made a shackle that fits below the joint and is held on by the bolt through the arb link and the end of the antiroll bar. Now when at full droop it is impossible for the ARB to become completely horizontal so when unloaded it HAS to go back down rather than up. I will be keeping an eye on it but a few tests have shown that it works fine.
