Just received my black Entreq cowl. Ridiculously beautiful with all its precise folds. Might have to sit on the mantlepiece for a while before it goes on the car.

Thud,
I can't afford to stick it anywhere but on the vehicle and hope SWMBO doesn't notice. If she gets wind I've spent further I'm for the doghouse, BIG time. Found myself at home today due to a shard of metal entering my eye at work yesterday, A & E 02:30 this morning etc. etc. anyway fortuitously for my eye and me being off the postman delivered. 10 minutes later it's fitted and as it's bin day tomorrow all evidence disposed of. 3 minutes on the dining table was all I dared. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge As with everything Entreq do, tip top quality at a price. If you want the best you have to pay for it...... Big thank you to Brendan and Barbara! Excellent service..... Gonna snow this week, hopefully!!!!! Better had! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! I've just lied about the price to mine. I'm happy to answer for my crimes at the pearly gates.
Might have to order those door strips next. |

Got the door strips and the rear one as well. You would not be disappointed. Rear door gas strut for me maybe. NO chance of me getting caught with that one surely?????

are you UK guys fitting these for looks or functionality? just curious.
on the tdi's we ran them on we found they restricted the passage of air massively, but in the snow were a must. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Bit of both really. I had historical issues of water getting in due to the rubber drain grommet sticking together. I didn't carry out the 'cutting mod.' Also have you seen the weather forecast for later in the week? I've been doing a snow dance. The one and only Winter my truck experienced snow was three years ago, I wished I had a cover then instead of digging the snow off with my hands, just an idea we may be up for a harsh one? On the Puma as you will know the heating system is more than adequate and with aircon and a heated screen and seats I cant see airflow restriction being much of an issue. Both. When I got my car the rubber drain valve was gunked up and I had a puddle in the heater intake. Its all fine now but I'd rather not have to worry about it again.
Can't deny that it looks great too. All part of the ever lasting project. Of course I shall claim purely practical reasons when we have our one day of snow this year. |

Same at that James... on my Td5 I found that position "1" on the heater blower became a mere puff of air. pos "2" was better, but I had to leave it on 2 all the time to get any neat out of it. I suspect the puma has a far better blower system as a lot of people say that they notice no difference in performance with a shield fitted. although they are good at keeping water and muck out of the heater. |

No you wouldn't get caught until maybe if she opened it and it smacks her in the face If you do get one though you won't regret it. I got mine direct from Naka good quality and works a treat. Recommend it. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I have to admit I've never found myself in a situation where snow has blocked the intake grill. It may be that the snow I've seen has been 'bigger' but it never seems to get through the standard grille. This was the situation in December 2010:
Click image to enlarge I just brushed the snow off the top and it hadn't got through the standard grille or blocked the intake at all. I can see that these covers will help prevent the ingress of water, especially for deep wading (the type where the water comes out the footwell vents). However with regard to normal rainfall, I simply took out that rubber drain plug/valve thing and left the hole empty years ago, so it never blocks. Obviously this means that water can get up from underneath if you go playing in deep water, but I suspect by the time the water is up at that level it will already have entered the heater box and indeed the cabin by several other routes! The army fit them and they aren't known for doing things without reason, so I guess there must be a purpose that I'm not seeing. |

Am glad Thud and K9F like the quality of the Entreq items and our service.
We have a consignment enroute from Germany at the moment. Am not sure what goodies are in it yet. Brendan PS You could always use Barbara's favourite excuse. "It was a LR recall, they realised they should have fitted it in the factory" |
