Hi all. I live in Iceland and bought myself a new landrover double cab puma few months ago. I got it on standard narrow tires and 5.5 inch wide wheels.
My modifications since I bought it is Melted some rubber stuff onto the floor panels. More insulation for the roof New radio with Bluetooth for the phone along with 2 loudspeakers in the rear. Built a closure for the trunk. Made it 3 piece so I can open either two or only one part of it. then I got bigger tires BFG All terrain 285 75 16. It made the car dirty itself enourmously when driving in mud,,,,, So now I just finished installing some custom made Aluminum sideboards along with some mudflaps on front next thing to do will be to move the rear mudflaps closer to the rear tires so it wont dirty itself as much behind the rear tires. Well I have to admit , I love this car. I have had many 4*4 mostly toyotas and Nissan Patrols along with Dodge ram. What I love about the landrover is how easy its to work on it, how it drives offroad and then I just like to drive it along on the pawment to . this is the link to my Gallery https://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451 |

Ys i´m very lucky to live here in Iceland. I have been travelling the highland here all the way since 17, now i´m 51 and it NEVER get BORING
![]() I used to have 4*4 with much bigger tires , like 38 inch and it would be perfect for the landrover I have , but these days of high fuel prices ,,, makes it very expensive , so I will just stick with these smaller tires and just play a little in the snow and then enjoy the summer trips ![]() |

Loving the decals, they sure look fresh, far better than seeing the boring 'tyre track' decals and 'one life-idiot' stickers.
Love it. Do you do kids parties or own a nursery or pack Haribo? ![]() |

Did you paint your snorkel's head? Or can they be bought in different colours?

Here in iceland it would not be so bad idea to have the top ORANGE along with the snorkel head. Could be good if you get lost somewhere in snow, like someone said , the white is a perfect camoflage if lost in snow. http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451

I shall contact the seller and ask him what brand it is
the one you put on the horizontal panels , you first glue them ( there is a kind of glue underneath it ) then you use a heatgun to melt it onto the panel. then there is a little different kind of material , not as heawy to glue to the vertical panels. I think what it does best is to reduce the chiping noise you get from that bare metal , it somehow stiffen it up . I think its bought from some german dealer. It makes a LOT of difference when driving on gravel roads. http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451 |
