Well that put the cat among the pidgeons.I use landRovers and don't polish them.To be perfectly frank if you can't park a 90 without sensors perhaps you shouldn,t be in control of any mechanical device, try looking in those shinny things on the doors they are not for putting your make up on with.

Yeah, but when you're in a tight parking spot and the plastic fronted Eurobox behind is narrower than the Defender and you simply can't see it, those shiny things on the doors aren't a great deal of use. OK, the Defender won't get damaged but I'm pretty certain the other car would and I value my no claims bonus too much.

Sorry but spatial awareness should be pretty high up on the agenda when driving, if you're unsure on how much room you've got then get out and have a look. How do you think lorry drivers manage? Rolling Eyes

My wife has poor spatial awareness but she's good at getting out - that's the reason why I take her with me.
Most people round here don't try to wedge in behind a Defender with a Censored big Dixon-Bate and swing out spare wheel...
I just park further away Thumbs Up

(Plus my sensors were so slow to register, their only real use was to "beep" when I got in reverse gear in a panic) Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

The way I do it if I can't see sufficiently in the mirrors is to open the drivers door and lean out for a look-see, it's worked for me in the years before parking sensors became the must have accessory. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

Mine's quite narrow (but at least it's long)... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

My spare wheel & tow ball are my parking sensors Whistle

Defenders with non-mandatory DRLs (unless with on/off capacity)...why?! Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

The main fault is a loose connection between the seat and the steering wheel.

You might be right but I think you are a bit too harsh saying that unless you can park, you shouldn't drive. I see nothing bad in adding sensors (which I have and they are like a gift from God when I park my 110). I like power steering... can you live without? Probably yes, but life is so much better with.
