Hey to all
Does someone knows about "Utlra Depth Filtration"? This system should help filtering out small particles in the diesel fuell.... Someone with experience? What about your warranty Next thursday/friday one or two injectors will be replaced after my high pressure pump and common rail already have been replaced. So I'm realllly thinking of putting this system in as soon as Landrover South Africa will give green light www.udfiltration.com |

I don't know about these filters but the filter on the Puma is a 5 micron with a water trap. Where I work we pre-filter all our diesel used by heavy machinery to 5 microns as a standard. The same can't be said for light vehicles or private vehicles, but we don't have fuel issues in them either.
The specs on the UDF filters state they will filter 95% of 0.5 to 4 micron particles. I'd be very worried if this size particle is causing blockages as it would mean there is a significant (potentially 99%) amount of particulates passing through the OEM fuel filter. You may also end up changing filter elements very often. I guess what I'm saying is you need to be sure it's this problem with the fuel. I don't know how effective the OEM filter is but it may pay to cut open one and see how good/bad it's been doing its job.. Also have you considered using a Mr Funnel to pre-filter your fuel and see if makes any difference. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |
