WTD Ifor Williams double axle 12 / 14 /16 foot trailer

As per title

have £1200 cash waiting for right trailer

open to whatever you guys might have?

2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS DCPU Tonga Green

Kenny, I don't know if you can stretch further, but when I was thinking of buying (but then got posted here). I was looking for months on end through ebay, auto trader et, and on average a 12-14' trailer normally pulled in £1400-2000. Just by chance when picking up the Defender from Ripon LR I dropped into Ripon trailers (owned by the same company) to ask if they had anything second hand- I then told them what I want and how much I had to spend (£1,800).... The first thing he said was that they had a few that were close to the specification inside my budget. Then he asked if I thought about buying new- I thought 'Here we go'. An Ifor Williams 3500Kg, 12', twin axle with sides and ramps came to £2,200- just a 2 week waiting period!

Ring around a few local trailer places and see if they have anything- otherwise maybe start looking a bit further West into farm country- hundreds of farm supply places sell loads of trailer in all sorts of conditions.

Yeah I'm currently looking thru ebay, auto trader, gumtree but they are thin on the ground so you may be right and go west and north to the rural areas

oh and the £1200 is all I've got which is what i made from selling a winch that i paid £350 for! , I don't think i can even stretch to £2200 for a new one unless I buy and sell a few trailers for a profit to get a new one! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black

I found the same problem. Second hand ones at market were going for 10 to 20% less than new price with no warranty or assurance of road worthiness / electrics / brakes etc plus a large time commitment. I use two IW trailers and view them as a decent investment.

Fair enough, I just know the IW trailers hold their price like nothing else!.. Just be careful buying a trailer off a farmer...... almost the same as buying a caravan off a pikey

Ripon would be a bit far from Wales- Try here: http://www.iwt.co.uk/distributors (Quite a few in your area)

Then ring around a few with your specs/ price and they will see what they have/ can get in. Quite a few farmers nowadays get a trailer every year by trading in their old ones.

I know, I've told them this is my budget

they may have vat free trailers in from farmers and what not

I have found a 16' foot ifor williams with sides in Leeds. for £1000
and a 16 foot brian james beavertail transporter with no sides in Swansea for £1000 also

For Ifor there is also Boulter Meade too unless it's the same one Stu means...

The smaller Ifor P6e P7e and P8e are just as difficult to get hold of used too. For what they go for used I'd rather buy new really. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON
