Could be the flexihoses? They can fail by ballooning slighting, which would reduce the effective pressure downstream. Darren

I thought the same myself but they said they can't see anything wrong with the lines. I was recommended the garage because they have an ex landie mechanic working there so was hoping he might have seen the problem before.

Mine failed on the same thing. I had new disks and pads all around at the same time so was surprised to find out that the rear disks were shot. Had everything stripped down and rebuilt and a new brake pipe all the way from the bias valve. Went straight through after that. Well on the brakes anyway..

A slightly tired brake caliper isn't good enough. Rebuild it or fit a new one. That will usually sort it out.
Perhaps the one on the other side needs looking at. |

Fitted a new calliper already and it didn't sort it going to drive it for a few days and get it re checked and see if the readings are any better

try plumbing rear brakes straight to servo see if you still get the problem - ie bypass the bias valve.
could be the one flexi pipe (top of rear diff) balloning, pence to change and nothing lost. unlikley to be the MC but it could be if the rear port has some crud in it. do they feel spongy - not just air in it? how old is the caliper on the other side? change it anyway - callipers are what £20?
