The problem with factory sunroofs in Defenders is they only seal them to the roof with double sided tape. You need to get busy with some silicone sealant.

I had one in my old County Station Wagon (which leaked of course) but my new hard top doesn't have one. Can't say I notice the differance in light. But then the old one was a bit filthy most of the time, can't think why.....

I think you must be a bit out of date on Land Rover manufacturing methods. The Puma sunroof (at least on mine) has silicone and it's very well sealed - even when a pressure hose is used on it!!
'.... oh man of little faith, why bother buying another truck from land Rover'.
It seems to me that people are out there persistently looking for faults to report - I wonder how many of these faults are as bad as people make out.

I agree, no water leaks at all in my Puma, some dust but I can live with that. Only real problem Ive had is the clutch and this was done no drama. Anything else self made by after market mods.

That's why I put this thread in Puma, cause I wanted Puma feedback on what they are doing now, not what some bloke in a flat cap did 10 years back Wink

I am definitely going for sunroof, my only concern now is that I will go for test drive Monday, love it, and not be able to get decent discount of the dealer. Still not in any rush, can shop around I suppose.

PS Mad Cow, if you turn them upside down like that white one is about too, the sunroof is bound to leak! Laughing

Its 12 months today (31st) since mine was delivered and I must say I dont know if I would change it for any other 4x4. BUT I do like to drive the wifes Jag s type V8 twice a week to liven things up. All over again maybe I'd choose a D3 V8 HSE. All that grunt.

Well it's nice to know that Land Rover have finally decided to seal the sun roofs properly Very Happy

They've been doing it with double sided tape for over twenty years.

And no my old 90 didn't fall over, what you can't see is my passenger.....
