Didn't Danielle do a series of 'how to' pictures on this only the other day? I'm pretty sure that there was some cutting to fit the light units. Darren

I think the cut outs he did would be covered by the standard headlight surrounds anyway.

If I remember correctly (as I fitted mine three years ago) you have to cut the panel if you fit the version with electric headlight adjustment

cheers Matt, i have the 3 level headlamp switch on my dash so i suppose the proper thing to do would be to wire it up, is it a simple plug in job as i see you get a loom with the lights and grill Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

The SVX grill kit I went with didn't have the electric levelling so no need to cut front panel

Also means I don't know what is involved in wiring levelling switch up - I doubt loom is included with kit for dash switch though

i know what you mean but i do really like the svx grill and i want to keep that up to date look about it, after seeing a few landys locally with them fitted i think they look great. even though i would be saving loads getting the heritage style from entreq and so fourth but i think i would regret it now i have the svx one in mind Thumbs Up

Matt hopefully Dgardel will be along shortly and answer our questions about headlamp leveling and cutting out Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

Every modification done for the new grill is hidden by the OLD or new surrounds also.

So you can came back from the SVX front to the old one without "signs" of the "downgrade"!!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

remember that you must use:
1. the original harness kit from Land Rover

or

2. diy new harness(like me)

for the new driving lamps.

If you need I can post a little short list about the "minimum necessary" goodies that you must buy from LR dealer for do the job. Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition
