imagening things
On the way home from York yesterday I thought my 300tdi got louder. Got home and had a look at the engine and I couldn't see anything out of place? It has just had a timing belt and has never run so sweet could that have a bearing on this? Otherwise it starts and runs no obvious lack of power.

Help please. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

How do you mean louder? Is it the exhaust note?

No I don't think it is it seems to be engine related like the usual rattle but louder not different. I would almost say its like having the engine sat next to me if you follow? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

That is strange then...... All I could think of is if an exhaust muffler had collapsed and restricted flow and now it has found a way out maybe just under the cab?

Either that or you have turned the radio down?

You may be right but I would have expected that to be deeper and full of turbo noise I'll have it a good look later. Cheers anyway. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
