I'm on my second this year. The Swiss wouldn't let me import my 2.4 in January as it was only Euro4. So I sold it and bought a 2.2 which I love. Plan to keep it for a very long time even though the missus HATES it.

Glad you got sorted out. By the sounds of things there it would be easier to get a new Mrs than get a new Land Rover. Rolling with laughter

Euro-anality is the enemy here! I hope the UK never goes that deep up itself! Would modifying a 2.4 with a DPF & 2.2 software pass the Euro 5 test? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

People suggested that at the time but apparently they just look at the certificate of conformity, see the number 4 and say "non!". They don't do any testing if the paperwork's not in order.

I won't say I'm glad it happened as it cost me a few Francs but having said that, I do prefer my new 2.2 as it was a little bit pimped by the specialist dealer before I took delivery.
