RR Evoque , hmm , think id rather had the Fiesta . Had a choice either RRSV8 or DISCO thought id take the missus in the Evoke . The wing tops on ma defender are the height of its roof . One good point , i was able to watch BBC1 on the way home .

United Kingdom 1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Caledonian Blue
Found a bit of rust on the chassis so ground back and treated.
Resealed the bottom of the rear door windows as the old seal (read Mastic) had crumbled away.
Had ago at stopping the rear sliding window from leaking when it rains.
Checked and topped up the engine oil and screen wash and checked the coolant and brake fluid. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Shortened the wastegate rod to try to get a bit more low down power, changed the oil with Costco's finest and filter, put repaired tyre back on. Next mod fit led's to indicators to try to stop leaving the indicators on.

Switzerland 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
First after the envelope from Bob Neville arrived with the missing plastic dash captive nut, fitted the last of the three leather clad Go Beyond dash trim panels....
Then went with the Defender to town and bought each of the kids an Iphone5... Shocked You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

@SGH. When you love a Defender (which I reckon you do) you gotta love the original face.

I slightly overenthustiastically tackled a hill by driving into it rather than up it.

Indeed. Hammer time tomorrow.

I reckon its only cosmetic, and by all accounts the standard bumpers rust away anyway. I thought of it as a good reason to get a winch bumper.
