I WISH !!!! my 2.2 has never managed to hit its 90mph limiter yet just won't go over 85 even downhill with a good wind behind. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

There's nothing like going fast in your 110 with a side wind is there? That focuses your mind Oh, and now i know why motorway turn off signs count down from a mile out. Getting across quickly from the outside lane can provide a unique experience.

yesterday was going at 120kmh for about 3 km and my scangauge was telling me that instant consumption was 20,1L/100kmh at that speed ...can't imagine how much fuel you were spending at 170km/h!!! Regards

Good work there DG. I can't remember top speed I have been in the fender- but did do a 100mile journey at about 95mph (autobahn Germany whilst late for ferry) and I used just under 1/2 a tank of fuel- would have been just as cheap buying a new ferry ticket
I did however enjoy taking my old Disco off the clock. Clock went to 115mph and it would go past by about 5cm... that was with big tires too so prob close on 130mph- not bad for a 20 year old 3.5 V8i.... That used to do 320miles to the tank (88 litres) . Glyn |

My P38 (J Fearn Intercooler and Chip) hits its rev limiter in 5th at 120mph stable and not a handfull but you need balls to leave braking to late for a roundabout, stopping 2.3 Ton at that velocity i think exceeds the design of simple 2 pot calipers. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.
