Yesterday the phone rang. As it is never for me I left it to the Mrs.I could here the conversation.
"Yes it is" "Yes he does" long pause "Are you sure you want to speak to him?" At which point the Mrs landed in with the phone and said in a shocked voice. "It's for you" I was equally shocked as no one ever phones me. "It's a girl" said the Mrs barely able to stay standing. I was stunned. Not only was I getting a phone call but it was from a girl (of the female species). Anyway to cut a long story short it was from the maindealers where I'd gotten the Puma serviced on Tuesday and she was doing a call back to make sure everything was O.K. and whether I had any issues or complaints. A week to savour. Not only was the Puma well serviced but I also got a phone call from a girl (of the female species) Yep us Defender men truly live on the edge. Still smiling  1982 88" 2.25 diesel

You should have said to the missus afterwards 'what excellent service. She even gave me her personal mobile number so I could book a service after hours'

That would involve using a phone. I'd have to get the Mrs to fire up the chordless phone and dial it.Things are never as simple as you'd like them to be - except me 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I've just had a message from a Mr S. Maguire who said to tell you to cancel the homecoming party as from tomorrow evening he'll be spending the next year in Mayo !

Breathing in too many fumes I think. Tomorrow will tell. If not all those green and yellow sheep are going to look pretty stupid.
