I got one with my Disco 1 when new but i didn't get one with my new defender. I only got the radio code. I would have thought any dealer could give you the number with proof of ownership. 130 crew cab

I dont have a code for immobiliser for my other cars ( not Land rovers) but I only mention it as the manual goes on about there being one with the car.
Also had to go on a little treasure hunt for the other items - spare fob was under the bonnet and radio code was taped to the battery (whcih makes sense I suppose as you'd only need it if disconnecting the battery). Have removed it from the vehicle now though. |

There is an EKA code for the Puma's. It's hidden away from everything about the vehicle but the dealer was able to provide it to me. This question came up in Australia several months ago and from what I understand Land Rover Australia denied the existence and the question was taken up with Land Rover UK who eventually provided it (anyway it come from with in Land Rover somewhere based on VIN).
The Lucas 10AS unit is the same as the Td5 Defender's and the Disco 1's, had fitted and these have an EKA. So persist with the request for the code, it does exist if the car is fitted with the key fob entry. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

Certainly in the UK and should be the rest of the world...any dealer (with proof of ID and Ownership of you) can give you the radio code, EAK code and any other codes (locking wheel nuts etc) as they are all stored on the vehicle manufacturing system, from the VIN/Reg and includes service history. I seem to recall if you have autologic etc you can get it aswell
You should (at least with ALL our land rovers from a dealer) get the radio code and the EAK code on a card...im not sure if you get the key number, i dont remember seeing that for a while. It may just have been me, however, but the radio code given for my radio wasnt correct, serial number gave the same code just the code wasnt correct and a new radio was required - this came with the radio code card in a plastic bag. Ulitmately a dealer can ask LR Traceability to pull the master record of any serial numbered part in a few days to check security codes etc - ive had this done - some does rely on using a main dealer AND that dealer updating the records CORRECTLY which doesnt always happen Mike |

I phoned my dealer for the immobiliser code. Next day they phoned it through to me. I did not have any problems getting the codes from them.

I purchased my Puma in June, 2009 (White 776888) in Cairns, Australia.
The four digit key code was stamped on a metal disc attached to the spare key set. The four digit radio code was recorded on a card/print out taped in the battery compartment. The four digit EKA code was obtained by my dealer from Land Rover in the UK. I am uncomfortable with the concept of an engine immobilisation system on a vehicle which may be used in very remote and dangerous areas. An immobilised motor could result in a life threatening situation. I would be very reluctant to travel in those conditions without a code to overide that immobilisation and without understanding how to use that code. I would urge all Puma owners to obtain and understand the use of their EKA code. My Puma hasn't missed a beat since I took delivery, and I'm feeling twenty years younger driving it. It's great. |

Hmmm Land Rover Uk still haven't got back to me. I'm taking it to the stealer tomorrow to have a loose rear view mirror replaced so will ask about the EKA.
