Philips Extreme also... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

With standard bulbs the wiring is inadequate and the switches prone to failure so a 125% increase in electrical load is just asking for problems notwithstanding they are illegal for road use. |

Looked at the osram bulbs, they have high beam and low beam so is there 2 bulbs or just the 1 twin element ?

I got some Halfords '90% brighter' bulbs when they were on BOGOF and I couldn't imagine wanting for more illumination. They are very impressive and we have some very dark unlit roads here in Roscommon !

you could also go for a HID replacement - not strictly road legal (again there are plenty of threads if you search)
I was talking to HIDcity at LRO Peterborough, for example, who can supply H4 replacements at £125/pair for a complete kit incl. ballasts. Their blurb say 3x brighter than halogen, 6x service life - and 50% electrical load. You would probably need to refit your old units for the MOT and you run the risk of the Law getting excited if they notice The superbright H4 bulbs are expensive and you only need a few sets to justify the cost of HIDs. Having said that I fitted Nightbreaker last time round as i didn't want to mess around at MOT or with plod. They're certainly brighter but still look puny against my LED light bar |

OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER PLUS are doing a good job. WIPAC Quadoptics http://www.wipac-aftermarket.com/acatalog/Headlamps.html come later, followed by a relais driven voltage supply: http://nakatanenga-tours.de/shop/article_N...-LR-STD%26
