England 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Orkney Grey
WANTED. Puma front pipe with CAT...will swap mine
I guess a few of you have cat from pipes in there garages gathering dust?

I want to make my own DE-CAT pipe by removing the internal part of the CAT and sleeving the centre section. THis way it will look standard and have the standard brackets etc.It will just be empty.

I'd like one to do then i can swap mine with minimun down time. I can return you mine, 2011..10,900 miles old and in rude health.

Or i can DE-CAT that one as well and send it back. If its not to time consuming i'd happily do a few.

Wouldn't it be worth keeping the cat somewhere for when the MOT rules inevitably change?

The rules changed for the 2012 MOT's.... but you still do not need a CAT for a diesel vehicle.

It would be very, very unlikely that any future revisions changed the rules retrospectively... the more likely option would be that they set a cut off date... as per the lower opacity level for post 2008 diesels.
