Well sold my 2.4 engine today just thinking whether I should get a alli radiator and I also have conformation on a new bmc air intake system ?
So it's all moving but slowly

Well I have a few more bits for the collection today also my gearbox is ready so i will be picking it up on Wednesday from ashcrofts
I've given the engine mounts a blast so they look like new 2.4 dipstick to fit to ( if it fits ) And going to fit the ranger oil pickup and sump 2morrow night hopefully fingers crossed engine may be in by Friday night

Are you fitting any additional sound insulation ? in the Transit the 5 pots a lot more noisy than the 4

Not at the moment but I have been offered a mat system that should sort that out remember my truck is a off reader not just for road so sound deadening just absorbs water

Fitted the new sump tonight along with engine mounts
And made a special plate to hold the new oil pick up If I could load pics I would can't do it from an IPad

GeArbox picked up this morning a big thank you to all at Ashcroft transmissions especially David for sorting it out looks really good 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs

Well tonight I got the engine and gearbox bolted together so nearly ready to be fitted
I still can't upload pics but I do hav them on my face book

Well this evening progress was had
The engine and gear box are in and all pipe work fitted Will advise take transfer box out for a engine change it's easier So all I got to do now is ort exhaust out Fit radiator and intercooler although I'm waiting for the rad from allisport Fit gear levers and interior So I still have quite a lot to do Steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |
