Corsica and Italy 2012
Just thought I'd share a few pictures of our latest trip with a brand new 2012 110 USW.

Corsica is a lovely place, but everywhere is pretty narrow, its bloody warm (about 38'c) with great beaches. I would recommend going at a slightly different time of year because all the beaches were too busy for us. The tracks were pretty good, but not sign posted and as we were on our own we didn't do anything too serious. We drove one track down to the most isolated beach which was pretty rough...i was low 3rd (i like to go pretty slow) and was followed by a family in a Renault megane scenic. We got held up a few times by families in people carriers getting stuck and burning their clutches out trying to get up a particular hill. I decided to take the morale high ground, sit on a hill overlooking all the carnage in my nice air-conditioned cab and have a laugh...i was in no mood to help.

Italy - bloody expensive and they drive like their possessed but a lovely place with some pretty special sites. We went to Pisa and Firenze. Firenze has a great campsite pretty much in the city which is recommended.

The car - I'd only done 1000 miles in it before we went. Its good on the motorway, cruised at 65-70 all day. It does seem a little underpowered but i suppose its no sports car anyway. Not all the time, but when used hard (up hills or when in low box) we got the clutch rattle at idle and when you lift the clutch pedal. Other than that overall pretty pleased with it.

Best bit of kit - ARB fridge....brilliant

Looks great. Thumbs Up

We're heading to Corsica on the 13th September for a week.

Any recommendations for camp sites and places to visit?

There are apparently some great tracks through the mountains. Looking forward to it.

We also stayed here which was by the beach and had good facilities:

Some campsites were pretty basic and we stayed at a few farm campsites, about 8euro a night which was great.
