Sunshine and showers, ground very wet though and the organisers are not letting any more vehicles into the arena (club stands).
'Phone reception very very patchy, lots of traders electronic card machines aren't working so take cash plus SGH cannot always pick up calls, so leave a message and he will get back to you. A good show though and weather for tomorrow looks good. Keith |

Area very slippy, watched a couple of near falls and one young lad showing off and falling on his $rse! Keith |

I was at the Show today. Is it me, or was it rather ho-hum? There just didn't seem much there - no dealer or factory presence, no big parts people (Simmonites used to attend). We walked the show in less than an hour and it was like one big car boot sale.
The programme promised a retail village and "many fine eateries" - stretching it to say the least. There was fish and chips, some sandwich vans and an indian takeaway! Thank goodness we did the 2hrs Experience drive whilst there, otherwise we would have been fairly hacked off at travelling all that way... |

I thought the show was a bit of a waste of time as you say more of a boot sale Very few trade stands and on Saturday not many people. 993 Varioram - Guards Red Defender 2.5 300TDI 110 HCP - Keswick Green Defender 2.2 TDCI 130 HCP - Orkney Grey - GONE Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE LUX - Corris Grey/Black Pack - GONE Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE LUX - Montaciano Red/Black Pack - GONE |

Was an OK show but not a lot there really. Found the prices on most of the stalls were more expensive than what you can get things on Ebay for. Went with the intention of picking up a few bits and bobs and only ended up buying a tow rope. Nice and muddy though

We found the same yesterday.
The days of the great shows are over, I think that it really is time for all parties to agree on two shows, one in spring and another late summer i can understand why the main traders stay away, they cannot keep committing their personal time and that of their staff to show upon show with little in return for the effort. I do feel cheated that there is an increased trend to plug the trader holes with crap, i mean scrap dealers. If i wanted to go to an auto jumble i would go to Newbury and pay less to get in. We went off to walk around Symonds Yat after and spent more time there and had a great pub lunch - never been before and it was stunning. Stick with internet shopping as it is quicker and cheaper in the long run and spend your free time enjoying your Land Rover and go green lanning with friends and mates from the club. Enjoy the bank holiday Mark |

had a good wekend the show is only as good as you make it,yes it was muddy, but i stil had a good weekend,i knew tht it would not be as big as diffield, pboro,or billing, but it was more relaxing and good to meet other members,
defender tom i picked up the awming on way home, what a bonus it had 2 side panels with it and a unused heavy duty tie down kit,£70 pound well spent ,but on the downside it took me 6hrs travel and i am still not home yet, traffic was bad ,a big thanks to jsg and every one for attending |

Well i had a good time ... its not 'just' about the show, but the whole camp/meet up etc.
How many of you guys came up to the Defender2 patch to say hello and share a tea/coffee etc?? Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

Guilty Mind you we didn't actually see the stand and, to be honest, we were so unimpressed we just wanted to leave and go off on the Experience drive... |
