Gearbox (MT82) flushing
Hi all,
has anyone got any experience of flushing the crud from a MT82 gearbox prior to a refill?
Any recommendations re what flushing oil or additives would be welcomed.

TIA,

Not really possible to do except like the ZF6HP26 autoboxes where you perform 2 oil changes within a short period of time (100 miles or so). I know people are using various additives, but this is not to do the job of a detergent but more to reduce wear and temperature. The Syntrans oil stays pretty good between oil changes really.
