ok; i'lll risk it!
I THINK that a/c was standard on all xs models since 2002 when the td5 was updated. i know the 50th annniversary v8 had it as standard (1998, obviously). not sure if the x-tech, heritage or g4 special editions have it as standard, though |

XS models, which came about in 2002 definatly have it installed.

Ok so is it just the xs model as far as you know? To be honest I didnt realise there was different model defenders! Apart from the G4's... I thought it was simply 200, 300, TD5 and now the TDCI.
Anyhow...i was suprised to see one for sale earlier, with heated windscreen, rear window, heated seats the lot . Which was an XS model. Think I'll be keeping an eye out for one of these babies! TD5 90, Gone but not forgotten! |

Besides the XS which had a good spec as standard, options could be ordered for most TD5's from new.
My 90 Hard Top County was specified with the winter pack so came with heated seats, heated windscreen and higher output alternater from the factory 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top |

Ah that's what I was after! I wanted to know which of the defender models came with the heated screen, seats and air on as standard. Looks like it was only the xs model and all others they were available as optional upgrades? TD5 90, Gone but not forgotten!

You can spot a Defender with Air Con. as the grill sticks out further ,(not in line with the headlights) my Heritage has it fitted from the factory but it was an optional extra.
