Not done a KBX grille but did my D3 grille to look liKe D4
Before After I cut the sections away with a Dremel then got frame repainted. i would expect you would have to cut it then just rub it down smooth then paint it CSK Automotive

just out of curiosity, do any of the kbx grills match the stornoway grey or will i need to get it sprayed?

i would colour code it on a grey landy looks best i think, have a look at twisted for ideas CSK Automotive

my defender is basically a french 90 copy.. few things from them so far.. (non engine because of my age/ insurance) trying to bring myself to pay the £250 for a 'twisted' steering guard.. |

very true as gary says his is half the price, not being funny but the twisted one should be cheaper than anywhere else as its advertising them id want them to pay me to fit it to my 90 CSK Automotive
