2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Aintree Green
Wanted: 110 Utility XS
Need a 110 Utility with the VAT in it. Have a 110 CSW XS that needs to go as the taxman wants me to have the Ute instead!

Might be worth checking that, as I was told by HMRC that I could claim back vat on either model - due to the payload rather than anything else like windows etc - this only comes into the equation if the payload is less than a given amount (I forgot what it is). A couple of dealers told me the opposite so I checked to be sure.

I got the Utility anyway as I didn't need the extra seats or rear windows Thumbs Up

You may be able to claim the VAT back but from a benefit in kind perspective the Utility is a van (nice and cheap) and the SW is a car (ouch!!).

2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ...

You can only claim the vat back if on the v5 it's N1. All defenders are now N1 and have cheaper road tax.
