United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HCPU Keswick Green
Tomorrow, if I get off the rig on time. Then I will start on the 110, going in for some warranty work first then I need to decide if I put it back to standard and sell off all the bits or sell it with all the spares and original parts etc. Someone will get a bargain. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Yep got it but decided the only thing to review thats relevant to this forum and not wanting to compare the two offroad as the Defender is clearly better, is the 3.2 tdci engine and box.

The first obvious difference is the gobs of torque, pulls any gear anywhere. Very smooth engine with a lovely sound from the 5 cylinder engine. I need to speak with Pete Bell but I think Ford hold back the power in the first three gears.
One unusual feature is in 4th 5th and 6th the engine rev matches the next gear i.e. when you let out the clutch it's already at the RPM for the next gear. The gearbox is not so good however, very notchy at present and i'm hoping this will wear in. The auto will be a better option when available. MPG wise it's doing 29 mpg steady. Anyone who fits this engine to their Defender wil be in for a treat. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Finally Ford bring out something in the UK worth looking at. What's the RFL per year? Is it PLG like a commercial Defender? Does it have leaf or coil sprung rears?

Let us know how you get on Thumbs Up
