May I ask a maybe stupid and rather subjective question? My original Grabbers on Boosts with spacers have reached 55.000km, seems like 3/4 of their lifetime. So soon I will have to get something new as well. So far they served the purpose, but besides the tire itself, the dimension 235/85-16 is not common in Chile. Thought to go for 265/75-16, similar radius but a bit wider.
I like the tyres looking a bit more agressive, but aren't they a lot noisier than a more civilized tyre? Our beloved cars are already noisy enough, even with all sound killing measures. Made that experience some years ago changing on a Pathfinder from Bridgestone Dueller to a Good Year Wrangler AT, which is not exactly agressive either.

Maybe someone can comment on the tyre noise experience?

Thanks
Oskar

Look great Karlos,

You just need some decent nuts! Thumbs Up A word of caution if they're the locking nuts from alloys they won't be securing as they're supposed to. See AndrewS and Glynparry's posts page 6....

Took a while to get them Karl and I know how much you wanted them. Bet you're cock a hoop! As ever your truck looks fine and dandy, like mine but BIGGER!

Off Topic Used the chainsaw again and it didn't miss a beat! Still grateful for your generosity.

On things like wheels and tyres you will NEVER get agreement on what looks best/best colour/best tyre size/tyre.

A few pointers. Ensure wheel is approved, some new wheels are coming into UK market which have not got approval etc (TUV) Check load rating off the wheel. Ensure that they are good for a laden 110

Turning circle, apart from adjusting wheel stops, assuming same wheel offset/tyre diameter the width of the tyre is important. i.e.wider the tyre worse the turning circle.

M/T in general have greater stopping distance in the wet then equivalent A/T. OK going back to an old study M/t had at least 10% greater stopping distance in the wet then A/T.

Spacers, increase offset of wheel, will not go down arguent of more stress (or not) on wheel bearing. Inform insurace company.

Tyres can cost £££s. Long life of tyres hope offset price. BFG will do 60k+ miles with ease.

Our choice of tyres are BFG M/T & KM2 255/85/16. On Puma anthracite Zu rims
