Very nice Is it the 2.4 or already the 2.2
I noticed that both front and rear mudflaps have a metallic reinforcement frame. Never seen that before. Is that standard from LR Hong Kong, or is that a LR option, 3rd party option or a own invention Why do you need those? Speaking of mudflaps, one recommendation here. Strongly suggest you order a pair of the stainless steel reinforcement brackets from Entreq in Germany. It is a very small inexpensive item, so even posting it to Hong Kong will not be too problematic. Without those, after a while your side panels will get damaged, and those brackets that are installed in your pictures will not prevent that. Here is the weblink: http://www.entreq.de/products/reinforcemen...r-110.html Again, it is a nice Defender there in your pictures You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

ericvv, it's a 2.4! I heard from the dealer that the mudflaps are one of the LGV regulations. I think they have to be with the metallic reinforcement frames too. Mine got smaller frames and are in black. Thanks for the recommendation! Since I am not with my car, I am not sure how the brackets can prevent the damage of the panel... Should I got the for front mudflaps as well? thanks! |

No, rear mudflaps only. It is really a must to install these from new. One more thing, if you will install them from new, you can even only use the existing center hole to fasten them. No real need then to drill the two other holes at each end, as with an unbended side panel, you will have a perfect fit and the reinforcement will work perfectly too. Read this: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic11874....nforcement Good luck You never actually own a Defender. Best looking new Defender I've seen.
Like it so much I'd consider painting my White Td5 with the same paint. but white roof & wheels (I could never paint the roof black with our outback 45c+ (in the shade) summer temps. but I can understand you doing it in the Northern Hemisphere) I think its looks very cool, hope you dont mind, I just did a qick respray on your roof and wheels to see how she looks. Click image to enlarge on second thoughts, the brown wheels look better, but I'll keep the white roof |

Nope, I hate it too (and I'm not just saying that to keep on your good side). But beauty is in the eye of the beholder - as every Defender owner knows Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I would guess that's a local market sourced and fitted barrier, it looks a different design to the uk market accessory one
