WANTED: NRC 7009 Steering protection bar
Has anyone got one of these knocking around please? Happily swap for a few beer tokens (i.e. less that £25 on ebay!)

Ideally in Wilts/Berks/Oxon area. Thanks.

There's one coming on the 110 which I think I'll swap for something with some recovery eyes built in... My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

I used to have one of these on my old 90 Widget, years back.

Was OK, but eventually got bashed in banana shaped so much it jammed up the drag link (out on Salisbury plain)

They're pretty unobtrusive admitadly, but personally I'd go for a proper steering guard (the "plate" type)

Or remove the large round tube section and replace it with a piece of scaffold bar. at least that's much thicker.

Thanks Jim. As you say they're ok up to a point and are made of cheese Very Happy - I had one one my old 90 as well. The 50th came with a plate already fitted, and I did thump it a couple of times so appreciate the benefits.

I'm going for the unobtrusive non-prepped look this time however. I also like the cheapness of them, £10 at sort outs. The access for inspection, maintenance and cleaning probably outweighs the deficits. JB
