We cleared our bedroom of mossys the other night (left the sodding window open ) with a bloody huge fan, just by opening the window and blowing them out with air from the hall - the "Buddhist" approach Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

There seems to be loads of them about at the moment! We had a fire door freshly painted at work today, and within half an hour, the little blighters were stuck all over it Picked them all off, an hour later they were back again ! An engine to TDi for!

Anyone remember those killer ant films back in the 70s/80s?
In one of them a nest of ants surround a research station, become resistant to all the poisons and eventually take over one of the scientists by burying into his body and making a nest inside him Still creeps the bejesus out of me whenever I'm anywhere near them Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Our lawns look like the Alps at the moment, ant hills everywhere
We have lived here ten years and I have never seen so many. Don't know if this is something that just happens in the SW but on a single day in August all the flying ants take wing, the birds love it but we don't. Had flying ants in my house a few years ago . Got some Raid ant bat traps and they worked a treat. About 3" diameter round plastic jobbies that the ants love. Apparently they take it back as food to the colony and it wipes the lot out
Never had them back since. Now i buy some every summer and put them out just in case http://www.amazon.com/SC-Johnson-41689-Raid-Bait/dp/B000BQUUCG Paul |
