Fair point from T1G. I don't believe it can retain the 90's VRN if it's not on the original chassis or an identical new chassis with evidence of purchase.

@FalkirkDave. Don't wanna piddle on your fireworks mate as it looks a super truck but maybe give your local DVLA office a shout and take their guidance. They could be happy for it to stay on the current VRN if it went through an inspection???...... At least then it would be fully documented, which to my mind would help the sale

Depends when done, before the late 90s, I think, chassis mods like that where legal. I know of a lot of shortened 110s, some to 100 (still have one), some to 92.9"s. All had the v5 updated accordingly and with no issues.

Wouldn't put me off at all
