United Kingdom 2012 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green
Many thanks for all your positive comments everyone!

I'm unsure about the heritage grille, I saw some stainless grilles on ebay but thought it'd look a bit strange with the black light surrounds, they'd need painting green like the heritage version, anyway it's staying as it is for the time being at least.

As for the induction noise, thanks for your comment T1G UP, I've not had another Defender to compare it against but it seems to be running fine so I'll leave it and see how it goes - 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' and all that!

Cheers! Thumbs Up

Forget the 'Heritage grill' - its a Defender, not a Series, so the grill you have is its heritage! Wink Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Very nice Tony. Like you I went for the traditional look! I did add air con, now the front vents have gone and it's been worth it.

Very nice Paul Thumbs Up , thanks for posting the photo! Air con is definitely worthwhile, my last vehicle had it and maybe I'll miss it in the winter when it's getting steamed up inside , but at the moment I'm enjoying winding down the window (by hand of course!) and getting some fresh air.

Cheers! Thumbs Up

omg! I found someone with the same thought! I just got my defender and I went for the basic wheel as well. I even go for the white top! Share photo later as I am away at the moment.

Very wholesome nostalgic look, clean & no bling. I'd add rock sliders to protect the door sills, so much better than checkerplate. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Lovely looking Defender. Nice and simple, and a white roof! Top stuff. Also keep the grille how it is. In fact keep the whole truck how it is, looks lovely. Timeless in fact.

If I was remaking Doctor Who, the TARDIS would be a Defender/Series looking like yours. Which year & model, hmmmm. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Nice looking machine, very similar to my 110. I must say though, I think in the long run you will regret not speccing aircon - I am so glad I did as now I just cannot live without it, the standard set up does not cool down the interior more or less at all, aircon needs to be on to keep it cool.

This is very true Although AC reduces mpg while on, I find the Defender's invaluable as the ventilation flaps are gone. It is good to have on whwn the windows are shut to keep out flies, pollen, & farmyard stench. Also great for demisting windows quickly.

Is it possible to have AC fitted later on TDCi Defenders, as was the case with TD5s. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender
