Oh dear, that's us £80 out of pocket as well then!

Ho hum

I'd have thought that a refund would be in order for the show tickets, but are Billing aquadrome saying that the pitches will still be available on the original weekend? if so then we'll stop there on the way to the Lakes as planned, if the pitches are not available then I'd expect a refund of the pitch cost from Billing aquadrome themselves and a refund of the show tickets from LRO.

I'd have thought that changing the show dates is a breach of the original contract made with them to attend a show on a certain date, not a date of their choosing, to be changed at random, so a refund if you can't rearrange your whole life to suit. It might have been different if the show had been cancelled.

But who knows, there must be small print which lets them all out of this in any case. We'll see what happens. I think there may be a lot of out of pocket, disillusioned LR fans out there in the next few weeks, whether LRO can afford that type of bad publicity remains to be seen, but it might be easier to afford than a full refund of everyones costs.

Think about the exhibitors as well, they will have paid a fair bit to obtain pitches and may have other arrangements on the alternative (still not guaranteed to go ahead date) Exhibitors at a previous cancelled CLA show had to take the hit which didn't go down well I understand. Maybe there is bad weather insurance available but not in place.

I'm still in Thumbs Up but on;y for the sunday this time. I got a credit back for camping/entrance next year (or another show) so its worked out well for me, only problem now is we'll all get heatstroke!

So now there is no time for procrastination - see it - buy it!
