The TD5 Compushift setup has had an update very recently to make it drive even better than it did already on the TD5's Smile It now utlises the boost pressure sensor inputs as part of the gear change shift map permissions.

As Pete says, previously we have taken the throttle position signal (TPS) for both the shift speed and shift pressure maps but this has it's limitations and can give hard downshifts when you come onto the throttle when on overrun, we now have software on the later CSII compushift ECU that allows us to use the manifold air pressure (MAP) signal to control the shift pressure map, this means smoother downshifts when it shifts with low boost, it's an easy software upgrade if anyone wants to try it, Dave Dave

Not yet, he dropped by last week and I remapped the compushift for him and he is dropping it back after king of valleys for this and for us to fit a new type of potentiometer XY switch which should be more waterproof than the genuine switch Dave
