Help with dog guard bracket?
I'm in the process of building a bulkhead for behind the 2nd row seats in my station wagon. This will comprise a solid bottom panel and a regular 90 dog guard that's designed to fit on top of a standard HT bulkhead. The guard I have was obtained 2nd hand via this site and is the type with a central peg on the top edge and a corresponding bracket that gets fitted to the underside of the roof. My question is, which way round is this bracket supposed to be fitted?

To anybody that's familiar with them, the bracket has a very definite sloped end and vertical end, but I don't know which one is supposed to face forwards. Can anybody help? A picture of said bracket in-situ would be fantastic, if possible. Darren

Right ... took some pictures for you of said bracket on mine (Dealer fitted)

looking from the front backwards:

Looking from the rear to the front:

The conclusion is that the sloped side faces the rear and the more blunt angled side faces the front. The opposite to what I'd have thought but there you go. Hope this helps. Thumbs Up

Slooping (bottom) bracket - slope points to the front. Picture emailled to your website address.

The top one I just lightly screwed into the headlining on my 90 as I wasn't sure what was under there, although as your'e making a bottom bracket wou'd probably want to screw it into the roof channel for a better fixing.

As Steve says the top one the shallow slope at the rear (that's what my instructions said anyway) I think thats to allow you to remove it and the shallow slope allows it to slide up into the hole easier.
