In the past I have just unplugged the red plug from the ECU (after making sure the ignition is off) not had an issue. Just remove the seat base (pulls up from the two clip things either side), remove the plastic trim, unclip the lid and remove and there is the ECU. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Well, finally found some time to investigate possible oil ingress and I'm happy to report none - everything dry and as it should be.
Thanks again Excossack for the tip - I can't believe last year I went to the trouble of unbolting the whole seat assembly when a tug on the base would have been enough - same as the rather basic seats in my old Series 111 which was my introduction to Land Rover ownership twenty years ago. |
