Their business stuff is still OK, that said i have been supplying more Samsung/OKI/Brother stuff recently due to the longer warranties. Seems there is always an offer for free 3/5yr warranties when you fill out a form with the serial number.
Good luck with the Canon. ![]() |

Sadly HP have gone badly downhill IMHO
![]() Almost my entire organisation (and we're talking several 1000s) was kitted out with HP930Cs. So good we bought 2 second hand for home - they still take everything you can throw at them and print perfectly. After several years though, they were considered "too old" and due to HP's determination to make profits and reduce quality, the office switched to Canon. Apparently they're not quite so bad...yet ![]() I'll never touch Epsons again - had 3 (stupid me) and they all clogged up and broke ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

We bought an hp server with 3 years on site warranty, a bit failed (can't remember what) so we had to phone them up and tell them what was wrong with it. Then they sent the replacement bit out for us to fit - not my idea of on site warranty, call me old fashioned but with on site warranty I expect an engineer to turn up and fix it.

Same, Steve. I've be a loyal HP customer for years, but when our MFP in the office failed (search showed a common poor quality network PCB) I purchased a Brother, which is much quieter and faster, and the scanner software works, which the HP didn't.

canon mg6250 arrived today, setup was a doddle, all devices on home network found it, photo print quality seems excellent... time will tell

I haven't used my printer in 3 years - the cartridges were about £40 and only lasted about a month
![]() It's an HPDeskjet 940c came out when the wheel was invented I think ![]() |

That's funny - our 930Cs are faultless ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Still works Matt, but the cartridges are too expensive

Aahh - we take the "hit" and buy the expensive (sometimes re-filled) cartridges as they have the integral print head and the quality is always very good (wife is an art teacher and very "particular" about such things).
Dumped 3 Epsons (all bought at the same time) as the heads were fixed in the printers and eventually just clogged up - the price they wanted to clean them was obscene ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
