iPad creepiness
I am sitting here in a hospital room whilst my wife is in theatre using her iPad.

I keep getting messages for me arriving on this iPad too Shocked
I don't have any accounts on here, I have used Skype but am logged out.
I've just stolen it to go on this forum...

How the hell does it know Shocked ?

p.s. Aaargh - all my messages are going everywhere. Help! Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

If they're both on the same iTunes/Apple ID then it uses push notifications. I get the same on my iPad when someone sends a text to my iPhone. It's using iMessage which uses text over WiFi rather than SMS. Outgoing messages are also converted to text over WiFi when available - it saves you using up or paying for texts if WiFi is available.

Just to clarify, my wife iisn't using her iPad in theatre, I am... Laughing Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Yes, we use the same iTunes ID and I'm using wifi (can't use SMS in here). Was getting seriously freaked out - not to mention worried about future privacy from SHMBO Wink
Although it could be a problem sometimes as long as she has the same iTunes ID... Confused Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
