You can do me a deal on your truck Although I've seen the Dynamat in a few Mobile Center 'audio pimped' trucks, I didn't know.you were distributors. Old man bought me bought me (birthday present) 2 packs of silent coat 2mm bulk pack and one pack of 4mm extra bulk for footwells etc. £158 delivered. Although it lacks the finesse of.the dynamat (some goo around the edges), it's actually much better than I anticipated. Will see how much it covers. Only put a couple of strips on as a quick tester but should do the job nicely. Amazing "knock knock" panel test difference. Tbh, I don't mind the noise as it is and my amazing 2 speaker standard stereo isn't going to get your sound system worried anytime this millennia "Big green" 2000 Td5 90 IRB Developments modified (2004-2011) Discovery 3 TDv6 GS Auto 2011-2012 *Missed the Defender too much* IRB Developments rebuild: Project Ice cube 2012-...... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic11056.html |

Truck is for sale Although it is not finished yet still got a bit more to go and a few extras to fit.
Once you get it fitted your two speaker system will be like a four speaker system anyway Last edited by mobilecentre on 18th Jul 2012 10:59am. Edited 1 time in total |

Apart from NoiseKiller, Exmoor Trim now sell sound deadening matting (probably expensive though).
I only want it to for the driver's cockpit & front passenger, so engine & transmission noise stifling. Would double thinner matting be more effective than a single thicker layer? Lastly, NoiseKiller's blanket has lead in it http://www.noisekiller.co.uk/acoustic_blankets_products.asp#NK006 . This cause me some concern as lead oxide may eventually escape through the other fabrics/if damaged & be sucked into the vehicle & inhaled. I have just insulated mine using the insides on one of these kits http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MILITARY-LAND-RO...438wt_1273
Basically they are the same closed cell foam as the noise killer without the sticky stuff on, I just used spray glue to fix it where needed and a some aluminium foil tape to tape the seams in all it cost me about £20 and a 1/2 a days work I don't know the effects yet but will find out soon. I have used 75% of one kit so have some left I will be removing the doors and roof soon to insulate I think I will use about two kits so a whole truck including roof and doors for about £40.00 By jasong4110 at 2012-08-02 By jasong4110 at 2012-08-12 Jason. |
