I have found that fuel consumption varies wildly depending on altitude.
We used 2l of petrol over 2 weeks in Morocco, cooking mainly at sea level whereas we used over 5l in one week in the Alps. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

No idea .. other than in my experiance of mine, the runtime on a tank is about 50-60% of the time coleman claims .....
 Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

Try using it at home for making brews and stuff like that, just so it will give you some idea.
I bought a couple of these.... http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/trangia-trangia-camping-stove-p141013 I run mine on unleaded, just because I keep a jerry can of it in the garage for the mower and stuff. |

depends on how turned up it is surely?
They run best on Aspen 4T - my advice is take a spare generator for it just in case. (ebay about 7 quid from memory) You really should empty it back into the fuel container ater each use as well or your fuel loss will be high due to evaporation. For a two week trip, you use it morning and night to cook meals you'll probably need arond 8 litres to be safe, but it really does depend on if its on full whack or not, both burners or not etc, the question cant really be answered accurately but 2-3 litres is nothing like enough. |

Hi Steve
I have used just under 5 ltrs of Aspen 4 in the coleman ( very clean fuel ) and it has done a week in the alps, a few meals in norway and about 4 weekends. 5 ltrs should be enough for two weeks, if not get some unleaded from a garage. |

We just got back from 17 days through France & the Pyrenees, 16 nights camping & one night in a parador (anniversary
 ) we used less than 2 lts, cooking most nights & about half the mornings. One of the best things we have in our kitchen kit is a half size pressure cooker, saves time & fuel, cooks tough meat nicely, cooks potatoes in about 3 minutes. We use a jetboil for tea though.

we used to use a little a night or so, but it was cold out and we did have to cook for 4 with it! Cheers
