John
I made the big mistake of buying ****part seals for the alpines on the 90 - never again ! The garage replaced my seals when it went in for service etc and used genuine seals. I think they have to be cut to length but I am sure somebody will correct me Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Hi Bob
I didn'nt ****Part seals AFAIK but not genuine ones. I think It will be worth while investing in the Genuine LR seals. I'm wanting a leak free LR! 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I think you are right too Bob. The rear quater panel windows in mine at the rear also have a join in the rubbers so suggests they are cut to fit. Surprising they don't leak with that alone ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

My genuine seals and the sealing band have been well tested over the last month - not a drop of water through them
I think they may have also sealed the rubber to the roof as well. Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Genuine seals it is then. I wonder what LR use to seal the rubber? 1999 Defender TD5 110

ah, I know a bit about these. I had a leaking td5 and it turns out the inserts that fit in the middle of the rubbers were changed, they were made slightly wider to make a better seal, so when you get the rubber also make sure you get the wider sealing strip.
