ARB lockers
I have the traction control on my 90xs but wonder if ARB lockers are still worth fitting?

2nd query is would a locker from my 1996 disco be compatible? I'm selling the disco and will remove it to fit to the defender if it's worthwhile and fits. Darren

no it wont fit.

ARB lockers are great until they start leaking air, which they all do in my experience and that of mates. get an ashcroft or a KAM, much more reliable. ashcroft is air but different design, kam is different again (not air)

As far as I'm aware, an ARB from your disco will fit a 90 but not a 110.

Although its true that they tend to leak air, you can prevent it by running the ARBs at lower pressure 65psi worked well for me. I was forever replacing the O rings until someone suggested this - then never again! I just bought a little in line regulator from eBay.

A possibly better option these days are Ashcroft Lockers. They seem to be stronger & more reliable but best of all, cheaper.

I've had the ARB in the discos for a few years now, just wondering whether to keep it or sell it with the disco. Darren

Right for a start is your disco a 300 tdi has it got 24 spline axles if it has
What age is the defender ? All late td5 and puma 110 have rover axles front and rear so as long as the locker is 24 spline it will fit Thumbs Up

Steve

The disco is a 1996 300tdi (had it for 11yrs), the defender is an 2011, 11plate 90 that ive not even had 11wks! Very Happy
I Cannot remember if it has 24 splines but will check the old diff tomorrow. That was my thought in regards to tc, its a definite lock and as I already have the locker

I also have an alisport full size inter cooler, alisport chip, winch bumper with roo bars, tank guard and a tool drawer that I'm selling from the disco if you're interested, disco is for sale too after buying the 90 if you know anyone who is interested Thumbs Up
