I've got an Asteroid and an Iphone and not experienced your issue. Have you got the latest software upgrade? I normally let Bpman upload the software, try it and if it's no good I don't bother until the subsequent upgrade.
Bpman may be able to shed a little light, whilst I've got the technical accumen and manual dexterity Bpman is the brains! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I went to Parrot website but will not allow update perhaps it's because I am using a Mac not a PC

'PM' Bpman he helped me when I first upgraded the software. I downloaded it to a memory stick and manually 'forced' the update in the vehicle.

That's not a PC/Mac issue - the file is missing from Parrot's server or they've put a wrong link in.

Hello, I have the same problem : impossible to download the 1.6.1 firmware with my Mac.
I finally get the file using google chrome and putting directly the HTTP address of the file on the address field, and chrome detects that he had to load it 
http://download.parrot.com/Asteroid_soft_u..._fr_FR.plf (or en_GB.plf) Installed now on the Parrot, and works fine. one of important source of crash is to try to your microphone to adjust main volume : when another application need to use the microphones (for example the voice reconnaissance), the parrot crash. apart this bug, all seems fine. 2,4 Puma 110 SW Light gray |

The voice activation does not seem to want to work possibly too much background noise in cab but that's not of any importance to me really. 993 Varioram - Guards Red

I have 1.5.1 on my radio at the moment, from experience I always hold back on the software releases until I've heard they are ok. I got caught out when upgrading iTunes one time.
Itunes on iPhone to 5.0, the parrot was unable to communicate for about 6 weeks whilst they tweaked the parrot software. I have 1.5.1 if you would like a copy |

I didn't have a problem using a Mac for the upgrades, however my first Asteroid crashed after 24 hours and the replacement only 3 weeks so I've given up on them. John
