China 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black
So, 2.2 Puma in South Africa has no DPF?
My 110 was made to Chinese standard, and fuel here is still around 3000ppm. I looked and found what looked to be the DPF next to the engine, but with a little short of 3000 km, I never once saw the DPF light come up as stated in the manual the cleaning cycle should be every 800 km?

So, my question is that the DPF next to the egine could it just be a empty can? I cant find if the Defender was made without the DPF for China or what, could anyone from SA to varify this? Bow down Bow down

Puma 2.2 for South African/African market does not have the DPF due to the wide unavailability of low-sulphur diesel.

If what you are referring to is just below the turbo, I think it is the catalytic converter --

thanks for the reply, what i found ccording to the workshop maunal is the DPF it is quite big located next to the engine on the right hand side, but my question is does the SA version not the DPF altogether, or does it still have the empty DPF can installed?

Err, that I do not know, and mine's not a 2.2 so I cannot check, sorry! --
