Viscous Fan vs Kenlow (Puma 90)
I'm sure there must be posts about this but I can't track any down. My Viscous Fan has just sheared off and has destroyed the radiator.
Should I consider changing for an electric fan?
Also, the standard rad seems fine; any upgrades needed here?

Vicious Cooling Fan - help please
Broke off and smashed the rad.

Have a Kenlow now but how easily does the old fan come off?

Does it unbolt from the water pump stub easily or are special tools needed?

That's damn unfortunate, but the concensus is usually to not change to electric. The standard rad size is fine too - Land Rover generally do build good cooling systems.

I believe the viscous unit is held on with a LH threaded nut, although the last time I changed one was on a Stage 1 V8 so I guess things may be different now Confused Darren
