We went in 2003, it is over 2 days, |Sat is like a fun day looking for clues driving along the tracks, Sun is the challenge, you can do the black extreem route or the red route where you look before you go.

I'm moving to Galloway in September for a year, so I too will be looking for Land Rover adventures North of the border! Especially since any driving I'll be doing in the forests for work will likely be in a Ranger or something equally horrible

The Scottish Green Road Club are the ones I've read about, do some nice drives over private moorland/forest etc. They don't seem to come down Galloway way though, perhaps they will rectify that in the future.
