Mysterious plug
Hi all,

I have a mysterious plug hanging next to the gear box/xfer box.

I initially thought it could be the diff lock connector but the light does come up when engaging diff lock. According to the service manual, the high/low range detection switch has at least 3 connectors, and I can see only two there.

So I am left wondering...:

- What's that plug?
- Why isn't it plugged?
- Where should I plug it?
- And if so, can I do that from under the car?

Any idea?

What year is the vehicle ?

I have a spare plug on my 2009 110 in the same location. It should be clipped to the gearbox and was removed in late 2010/2011 MY's.

I'm pretty sure that connector is C0100, for the driver's seat belt buckle switch, which isn't fitted to all markets.

There should be two wires - White/Purple and Black.

I am pretty sure it does as engaging low ratio does change the ECU mapping and throttle sensitivity.

It does not have any indicator on the dash though, but for sure the ECU can tell when the low ratio is engaged.

That would match what I can see, but hard to tell with certainty given the amount of Waxoil spread out in the area Whistle

Just looking at workshop manual and item 24 is the low range indicator ???.

Mine only seems to have diff lock indicator which comes on in low..... I presume this is normal?
