Can anyone advise which tickets to get? Im planning to go next year for my first time and have decided to enjoy the experience and get a grandstand ticket for about £400. Cant be bothered with the hastle of General Admission tickets, queueing up at 5:30am and all that!

Was thinking of either the National Pit Straight for watching the start from grid, or perhaps Abbey/Farm? But having never been before, Im not too sure.

I stood on a bank near Beckitts then moved onto a bank near Stowe, but havn't a clue, It was my first time to Silverstone and apart from the amazing spectacle of the cars like jet fighters screaming passed the whole experience was very disappointing. The outside grounds are very run down, dusty, dirty, full of burger bars and the stench that goes with them, they really need to look at Goodwood/Spa etc to get the place up to scratch.

I did it on the cheap and people said I should have got a Grandstand ticket and got inside the track - sounds like your doing it the right way - have fun Thumbs Up

Also good luck with the park and ride buses, our driver got lost Rolling Eyes Not uncommon apparently, it happened to a passenger the previous year also, the bus ended up on a dual carriageway somewhere and furious passengers had to call the Police in the end to be saved Thud

I'd agree with Beckets as a choice. One thing to note that is with 'general admission' you don't even get grass! So make sure you take seats or good blankets to sit on. If I go again I might try the new village complex then look out of Kobiashi trying a late one . . .

JK No the other left . . .

Becketts sounds good. I also intend to take the caravan and pitch it trackside at their own campsite. That way we can keep nipping back to the caravan if needed. Intending to stay there Thurs to Sunday

The Becketts grandstand is priced for this year at £334 (3 days) but they also do a 'Club Silverstone at Becketts' for £445 which comes with own food/drink marquee. Think I'll live the posh life for once Very Happy

I'll wave with a bottle of champers from the pit lane club, I'm hosting customers all weekend as we sponsor Caterham F1.
It was great last year, hopefully the weather will be good Thumbs Up You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things
